Move from one Job to another only for the right reasons

As I go through job related sites for the latest updates, I usually find headlines being dominated by people who transfer from one company to another after a short time and I wonder, why are so many people leaving one job for another?

Whenever you ask this question to people who have left numerous companies or corporations the answers you get are usually them getting a 50% hike in salary. Well, I’m placed in a good position and they have plans in sending me abroad.

I look around at all the people who are considered successful today and have reached high positions or rankings in a company. I find that most of these people are the ones who have worked in the same company for a long time. However, if I look at the people who have significantly transferred from one job to another, it seems that they have stagnated at some level with regard of the competitive environment. There are no shortcuts or an easy way to make money and become successful. The only thing that seems to pay off is loyalty, dedication and hard work. Yes, it pays sometimes to act immediately.

Does this mean that one should stick to an organization and wait for them to receive recognition? Of course not, after a long time there will be a need for you to move but it is important to move for the right reasons.

A lot of people leave organization because they are unhappy, environment, rude boss, colleagues and whatever reasons. But if you are completely honest with yourself, are you really happy with what you are doing? If the answer is No, maybe it is because you can find happiness somewhere else… with your family and friends.

When you work, it is for you to earn, build a reputation, and work hard to satisfy your ambitions. So, next time if you are planning to move, ask yourself why you are moving and for what reason you are moving. If it is a valid reason, then go for it.

Be responsible, have good work ethics, be willing to face the challenges the job comes with and get it done.
