Through the Eyes of a Child

Life is full of twists and turns. At times you toil in the depths of nothingness, and sometimes it is kind and lets you enjoy the fruits of your labor. Maybe now you are shedding tears of sadness, or perhaps living a life of successful bliss. But no matter who you are or where you are, one thing is for certain: you need to love and be loved.

Love is eternal; it knows no boundaries. It does not care if you are rich or poor, young or old. It does not choose what color or race you belong to, nor does it fancy your political affiliation or religious beliefs. Take things in the eyes of a child. Everything is pure and simple; what you see, is what you get. You don’t need to spend and buy stuff just to show how much you love a person. All you ever need to do is to share that care and affection to everyone, and watch it unfold and blossom into love.

Valentines’ Day is always associated with the love month. It is an age-old tradition for flowers, chocolates and other gift-giving. But Valentines’ is not just limited to couples or partners. It is also for family and friends and everyone around you. A simple smile, a hug, a kiss, a pat on the back or perhaps just saying “hello” be it to a stranger or a friend, can go a long way. Remember, there is always something that you can do to make another smile. It doesn’t need to involve spending on something or be material in nature; just as long as you are sincere and true in what you share.

In this season of love, try to think about simple things; simple thoughts, simple wants, simple goals. Life need not be so complicated as people may think. In the eyes of a child, life is love. And that’s what matters most.
