The Best Strategy To Fight Infections

Serving  more fruits and vegetables  to your daily diet will power up your immune system to fight infections.

According to studies conducted by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology say, regularly eating fruits and vegetables boosts the body resistance against infection and common illnesses like colds.

FNRI nutritionists suggest eating two to three servings of fruits everyday to fight infections.   One medium size fruit or one slice of big fruit is equivalent to one serving fruit.  Anonas, strawberry, ripe papaya, cashew, dailes, atis, ripe mango, tomato, melon, guwayabano, siniguelas, and naranghita are examples of vitamin C-rich fruits.

  • Ripe papaya and shuha (pomelo) for vitamin C; banana , pineapple,
  • Did you know that cashew has more vitamin C than dalanghita?
