Finding Dory is an Underwater Adventure Hit at the Box Office


Sunday, industry estimates Pixar’s “Finding Dory” to make big waves at the box office, approximately $38.1 million. For three weekends in a row, it bested a bunch of new releases, which includes Steven Spielberg’s “The BFG” and “The Legend of Tarzan” based on the 20th century novelist Edgar Rice Burroughs.

In Finding Dory, the movie follows Dory, a forgetful Pacific Blue Tang fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres (similar to her supporting role in the 2003 Pixar movie “Finding Nemo”.) The forgetful fish on a journey back home to her parents is currently on its 3rd week in movie theaters. The film has already grossed $41.9 million, for a sum of $372.3 million in the United States since its premier. 

Dive into the magnificent underwater world with the friendly but forgetful fish, Dory, and her crew while they gather a few lessons about the meaning of family along the way. Nemo and Marlin join her for answers about her past. How will she be able to remember? Who are her parents? Will she speak whale again?
